雅思閱讀Summary題型的基本技巧

Summary題型在雅思的整體難度中，屬于中等偏上一點(diǎn)難度，總體上可以分為全文摘要和部分摘要。全文摘要需要對(duì)全文的脈絡(luò)的把握要求很高，詞匯要求也高，因此做題需要的時(shí)間非常多，所以今天我們從部分摘要看起，從淺入深進(jìn)行探討。summary，在第一次接觸時(shí)候，很多學(xué)生都非常困惑，從何入手，那我們就一步一步來走，從細(xì)節(jié)入手。

劍6-test1-passage3的Summary題目為例：If you visit the Canadian Arctic, you immediately appreciate the problems faced by people for whom this is home. It would clearly be impossible for the people to engage in 33 …………………….as a means of supporting themselves. For thousands of years they have had to rely on catching 34…………………….and 35 …………………as a means of sustenance. The harsh surroundings saw many who tried to settle there pushed to their limits, although some were successful. The 36 ………………people were an example of the latter and for them the environment did not prove unmanageable. For the present inhabitants, life continues to be a struggle. The territory of Nunavut consists of little more than ice, rock and a few 37……………………….

拿到這樣的summary題目，首先第一步應(yīng)該寬泛定位用專有名詞Canadian Arctic，大致定位到文中的第三段，所以順序原則，1，2兩段就不用看，然后根據(jù)summary的題型特點(diǎn)，拆分段落，以句子為單位。
The Canadian Arctic is a vast, treeless polar desert that’s covered with snow for most of the year. Venture into this terrain and you get some idea of the hardships facing anyone who calls this home. Farming is out of the question and nature offers meager pickings. Humans first settled in the Arctic a mere 4,500 years ago, surviving by exploiting sea mammals and fish. The environment tested them to the limits: sometimes the colonists were successful, sometimes they failed and vanished. But around a thousand years ago, one group emerged that was uniquely well adapted to cope with the Arctic environment. These Thule people moved in from Alaska, bringing kayaks, sleds, dogs, pottery and iron tools. They are the ancestors of today’s Inuit people. Life for the descendants of the Thule people is still harsh. Nunavut is 1.9 million square kilometres of rock and ice, and a handful of islands around the North Pole.

 33題：所以第一句It would clearly be impossible for the people to engage in 33 …………………….as a means of supporting themselves.可以定位到文章“Farming is out of the question and nature offers meager pickings.”，從文章和題目中的同義詞轉(zhuǎn)換定位“impossible”= “out of the question”，所以找到同義詞就是找到答案的所在點(diǎn)，所以33答案是farming（ps：文中給予的任何單詞，都不要改變形式，和順序）。

34和35題： 更進(jìn)一步用順序原則，同時(shí)用同義原則，看到rely on catching = surviving by exploiting，所以直接填缺的那兩個(gè)單詞，所以34和35答案是sea mammals 和 fish。

36題：然后繼續(xù)順序原則，36題通過理解，甚至可以通過最簡單的匹配，可以在第三段直接得到這個(gè)專有名詞Thule people，再則，其中的例子（例從阿拉斯加），這題最最簡單。

37題：繼續(xù)通過順序原則，用ice和rocke這兩個(gè)專有名詞這來定位，可以看到文章 Nunavut is 1.9 million square kilometres of rock and ice, and a handful of islands around the North Pole. 通過這句話，我們可以得到這樣的信息Nunavut是一個(gè)在北極附近，擁有1.9百萬平方公里，被冰雪覆蓋，同時(shí)還有一些島嶼，所以可以得到題目中The territory of Nunavut consists of little more than ice, rock and a few 37……………………….（所以37題的a few等同于a handful of,所以直接照抄答案islands）

綜上所述，summary在做題過程中，非常體現(xiàn)雅思的精髓，同義原則和順序原則，這樣才能更好把握summary的解題過程。
