最新報(bào)告起底美國(guó)“富可敵國(guó)”的大學(xué)，他們究竟多有錢？

 萬萬沒想到，根據(jù)最新報(bào)告顯示，美國(guó)有些大學(xué)竟然可以“富可敵國(guó)”。

據(jù)美國(guó)網(wǎng)站“校園改革”（Campus Reform）報(bào)道，哈佛大學(xué)2018年的捐贈(zèng)基金，達(dá)到383億美元，超過世界上一半國(guó)家所擁有的財(cái)富。

而哈佛大學(xué)并非美國(guó)唯一一所“富可敵國(guó)”的大學(xué)。耶魯大學(xué)、斯坦福大學(xué)、普林斯頓大學(xué)、麻省理工、賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)、德克薩斯大學(xué)體系、密歇根大學(xué)、以及西北大學(xué)(分?jǐn)?shù)線,專業(yè)設(shè)置)等美國(guó)大學(xué)擁有的財(cái)富均超過了世界上的許多國(guó)家。

"“America‘s public schooling system may be in trouble， but its top universities are anything but，” said a story by Stacker， which compared the multibillion endowments of 50 American colleges to the “total wealth” of world nations as estimated by Credit Suisse。"

Stacker網(wǎng)站在一篇報(bào)道中說：“美國(guó)的公立教育體系可能遇到了麻煩，但它的頂尖大學(xué)卻遠(yuǎn)非如此。”

報(bào)道將50所美國(guó)大學(xué)的數(shù)十億美元捐贈(zèng)基金與瑞士瑞信銀行估計(jì)的世界各國(guó)的“總財(cái)富”進(jìn)行了比較。

"The list saw five universities – including Princeton， Stanford， Yale， and the University of Texas System – beat over half of world‘s 195 economies。 Topping the list with its massive $38.3 billion endowment came Harvard。"

即便是排名第50位的韋爾斯利學(xué)院（Wellesley College），其捐款基金也超過了26個(gè)國(guó)家的財(cái)富。

Stacker的報(bào)道稱，大學(xué)捐贈(zèng)基金的運(yùn)作方式類似于免稅對(duì)沖基金。

"Private institutions often use nonprofit status to avoid tax， but a provision of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will levy a small tax."

不過，擁有14個(gè)分支機(jī)構(gòu)的德克薩斯大學(xué)體系，強(qiáng)調(diào)他們對(duì)捐贈(zèng)資金的使用方式是有限制的。

"Karen Adler， the director of media relations for the UT system， defended the university’s systems massive endowment， making sure to highlight that there are restrictions."

德克薩斯大學(xué)體系的媒體關(guān)系主管凱倫·阿德勒為該校體系的巨額捐贈(zèng)進(jìn)行了辯護(hù)，強(qiáng)調(diào)捐款的使用方式是有限制的。

"“The UT System endowment is made up of several different endowments and they all have different restrictions class"

"Adler pointed out that large private donations are responsible for a large portion of the massive endowment。 “Philanthropic gifts make up another significant portion of the endowment。 Donors specify how the money is to be spent （scholarships， professorships， research， etc。）， and the university is responsible for honoring donor intent。 In general， most gifts are restricted，” Adler added。"
