管理信息系統(tǒng)MIS是一個(gè)以人為主導(dǎo)的，利用計(jì)算機(jī)硬件、軟件和網(wǎng)絡(luò)設(shè)備，進(jìn)行信息的收集、傳遞、存儲(chǔ)、加工、整理的系統(tǒng)。它將商業(yè)和信息技術(shù)完美的結(jié)合起來(lái)，從而使信息獲取更為便捷，工作更為高效，很大程度上提高組織的經(jīng)營(yíng)效率。不同于信息系統(tǒng)，管理信息系統(tǒng)是一個(gè)有計(jì)劃的系統(tǒng)，通過(guò)收集、儲(chǔ)存和傳遞必要的資料，達(dá)到管理的功能。這門(mén)學(xué)科主要研究信息管理以及信息系統(tǒng)分析、設(shè)計(jì)、實(shí)施、管理和評(píng)價(jià)等方面的基本理論和方法。MIS專(zhuān)業(yè)主要教授兩方面的知識(shí)，一方面是技術(shù)類(lèi)知識(shí)，如軟件和硬件知識(shí)，各種信息系統(tǒng)知識(shí)，數(shù)據(jù)處理知識(shí)，信息系統(tǒng)的設(shè)計(jì)，分析以及應(yīng)用，信息系統(tǒng)實(shí)踐等;另一方面是管理知識(shí)，如管理理論，戰(zhàn)略管理，如何管理可以使信息系統(tǒng)應(yīng)用最優(yōu)化，如何有效使用信息系統(tǒng)可以有助于完成商業(yè)決策和企業(yè)提升，等等。 >>立即評(píng)估我的申請(qǐng)條件

涉及領(lǐng)域

信息系統(tǒng)(Information Systems)：包括 Data Communication 、 Database 、 Programming Language、 Client/Server Computing、System Analysis and Design等內(nèi)容。

管理科學(xué)(Management Sciences)：包括 Mathematical Programming 、Optimization 、Operation Research等內(nèi)容。

生產(chǎn)運(yùn)營(yíng)管理(Production and Operations Management)：包括 Decision Theory 、Organization Theory等內(nèi)容。

統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)(Statistics)其它專(zhuān)業(yè)領(lǐng)域：包括 Marketing 、Finance 、Management 、Accounting 、 Business Law 、Economics等等。

所屬院系設(shè)置：MIS這個(gè)專(zhuān)業(yè)在美國(guó)的研究生院里，按照側(cè)重通常歸到商學(xué)院或者計(jì)算機(jī)學(xué)院，傳統(tǒng)的MIS不管在項(xiàng)目名稱(chēng)上有何差異，其實(shí)內(nèi)容上都很相近，這點(diǎn)從課程設(shè)置上就可以看出來(lái)。但是也有在商科下的MIS比較偏重計(jì)算機(jī)方面的知識(shí)積累和技能培養(yǎng)，這種情況下一般會(huì)在項(xiàng)目名稱(chēng)上加上technology。另外還有新衍生出來(lái)的偏向圖書(shū)館信息管理的，如Master of Library and Information Science簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)MLIS。開(kāi)設(shè)此專(zhuān)業(yè)項(xiàng)目的學(xué)校非常少，主流的MIS專(zhuān)業(yè)還是以培養(yǎng)能夠整合IT實(shí)踐和商業(yè)技能的學(xué)生為培養(yǎng)目標(biāo)。(國(guó)內(nèi)的MIS 專(zhuān)業(yè)的課程設(shè)置也都是技術(shù)和商科的結(jié)合) >>美國(guó)MIS專(zhuān)業(yè)申請(qǐng)條件

Drawing upon the strengths of participating faculty from the Heinz College, the School of Computer Science, the Software Engineering Institute and the Tepper School of Business, the MISM is geared toward training project managers, analysts, consultants and architects for careers in Fortune 100 companies.

Information Security Policy and Management (MSISPM)信息安全政策與管理(后端)

This 4-semester master's degree emphasizes the policy, management, and technology aspects of information security and risk management. The MSISPM program is at the vanguard of the cyber security sector with recognized leadership in risk management, data privacy, threat control, and information policy. The Scholarship for Service (SFS) program provides several full-tuition scholarships and stipends for qualified U.S. citizens.

The MSIT degree is a part-time program designed specifically for working IT professionals seeking a world-caliber master's degree without having to leave the workforce or relocate. MSIT is available as an on-campus program with evening courses or as an online program. Students can also opt for a hybrid on-campus/distance version in order to complete their degree. MSIT also offers its students flexibility with its 4 distinct tracks (IT management, IT security, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics and Software Design and Management) that allow students to craft a schedule that is suited to their career goals.
