雅思口語(yǔ)P2銷魂篇：“描述一個(gè)對(duì)話”

Hi, there. 大家好，我是雅思口語(yǔ)老師Max。今天準(zhǔn)備和大家分享一個(gè)雅思口語(yǔ)考試第二部分的經(jīng)典考題以及解析。

有一句話叫做“讀萬(wàn)卷書，不如行萬(wàn)里路；行萬(wàn)里路，不如閱人無(wú)數(shù)”，實(shí)在無(wú)力吐槽“閱人無(wú)數(shù)”的含義。恰好雅思曾經(jīng)考過(guò)一個(gè)跟這句話有點(diǎn)聯(lián)系的無(wú)節(jié)操題目，讓你描述一個(gè)你“閱”某人時(shí)，與TA的一次有意思的對(duì)話。如下：

Describe an interesting conversation you had with someone you didn't know. You should say

- who the person was

- where the conversation took place

- what you talked about

- and explain why you found the conversation interesting.

下面這四句話，大家不要小看，其實(shí)在考試中，這四個(gè)步奏是非常重要的。如果，你能夠每一步都做到盡量詳盡，那么考官便會(huì)覺(jué)得你思路清晰。而且，自己思路清晰了，肯定也能夠臨危不懼，輕松應(yīng)對(duì)。

Here's my sample answer:

I’m going to talk about an interesting conversation that I had a couple of weeks ago in a music shop. I was walking along one of the main shopping streets in the city centre, when a large window displaying all sorts of musical instruments caught my eye. Out of curiosity, I decided to go in and have a look around.

The person I ended up speaking to was a shop assistant on the second floor, in the area of the shop dedicated to acoustic guitars. I hadn’t intended to speak to anyone, but the assistant approached me in a friendly way and asked whether I had any questions.

I explained to the assistant that I hadn’t played the guitar for years, but that I wondered what the differences were between the various acoustic guitars on show. He talked to me about the different makes and models, whether they were factory or handmade, the variation in sound quality, and of course the price range.

I found the conversation fascinating because the shop assistant was so knowledgeable. It was obvious that he had a passion for the guitar, and he didn’t mind talking to me even though I had made it clear that I didn’t intend to buy anything. He even picked up and played three or four of the instruments to demonstrate the differences in their sound.

看了這個(gè)答案，大家有什么感想呢？有沒(méi)有覺(jué)得得個(gè)9.5分也不為過(guò)啊，那是肯定的。所以，在這里Max想要告訴各位烤鴨們，雅思口語(yǔ)不需要那么多花里胡哨的生僻語(yǔ)法，以及聞所未聞的抽象詞語(yǔ)，更多的是需要清晰的表達(dá)。當(dāng)然啦，大家如果能夠做到在清晰表達(dá)的前提下，盡量準(zhǔn)確自然地使用一些“高貴冷艷”的短語(yǔ)，肯定是最好啦。下面我就把這個(gè)sample answer當(dāng)中一些地道表達(dá)抽出來(lái)，和大家一起來(lái)分享這些“干貨”：

catch someone’s eye（注意，這里不是eyes哦，還有一個(gè)短語(yǔ)是the apple of someone’s eye---很愛(ài)某人，也是一樣）：抓住某人的眼睛

out of curiosity：處于好奇（這里的out of不是否定）

end up doing something：后來(lái)開始干另外一件事

approach：迎上前來(lái)

makes and models：不同的材質(zhì)和款式

sound quality：音質(zhì)

price range：價(jià)位

have a passion for something：熱愛(ài)某件事（說(shuō)煩了love/like，總算可以換個(gè)說(shuō)法了）

demonstrate：展示（比show略顯高端，又不會(huì)太做作）
