Describe a TV program you like to watch

This year a new TV reality show became an instant hit with audiences and forever changed the landscape of Chinese television broadcasting. Within a few hours of its first live broadcast on July 13, "The Voice of China" managed to capture the viewers' attention and hearts.

"The Voice of China", China's adaptation of a Dutch reality talent show, sees its hopeful contestants going through a blind audition, with four celebrity judges picking their teams of singers who will then go on to compete for a recording contract and a highly publicized concert performance.

The show turned out to bean unexpected success, especially at a time when the TV market is basically over saturated due to the large numbers of reality talent shows similar to western programs that are coming to viewers on a daily basis, like "American Idol," "X-Factor" and "You've Got Talent."

2. 切糕

還有一道雅思口語題大家應(yīng)該很熟悉的，也是高頻考題。叫做Describe a special meal /traditional food in your country. 對于這道題，很多學(xué)生都是說 Dumplings. 這樣千篇一律的答案當然會讓考官覺得沒新意。目前來說，紅遍網(wǎng)絡(luò)的切糕應(yīng)該大家都知道的，那么至于切糕到底怎么做的呢?下面來給大家介紹一下切糕的做法。

首先是原料(Ingredient)：紅棗、糯米 　dates, glutinous rice

制作步驟(Process):

1).將糯米、紅棗淘洗干凈，浸泡4小時以上。

First, wash the rice and red dates, then soak them in the water for more than four hours.

2).糯米控干水分入鍋、紅棗同時進行蒸制。

Drain the water out of these ingredients, then put them in the steamer.

3).蒸制10-12分鐘左右開蓋，倒入開水，邊倒開水邊攪拌，使糯米充分吸收水分;待糯米完全被攪拌成糨粥狀，蓋蓋子繼續(xù)蒸制15分鐘。

After ten or twelve minutes, pour some hot water into the pot, stir it in the meantime to make the rice absorb enough water; when it turned into rice gruel, steam again for another fifteen minutes.

4).取出糯米飯、紅棗，將糯米飯沾水揉勻，用鏟子按成厚薄相當?shù)膶悠��?/p>

put the rice on something flat, use the shovel to press it into thin slices.

5).均勻的碼上一層紅棗。達到三層飯二層棗，層次分明，飯棗分開。(層次越多越漂亮)

Put the red dates on the surface, then another layer of rice, make it for two or three layers just as you like.

6).重物壓于其上，將糯米飯壓瓷實。

Put something very heavy on that to make the layers hard and together.

7).用刀順邊從上往下切，放在盤內(nèi)撒上白糖即可。

Cut it with the knife into slices, throw some sugar on the surface if you like.
