新通老師分享2016年9月24日托福寫作前瞻預(yù)測,供考生們參考。
As time goes by, being candid becomes one of the most difficult tasks when dealing with varieties of people. We are afraid of being challenged and being neglected, since we are too ignorable in this enormous world. Therefore, many people advocate that we should reserve our honest opinions when we see the clues that others will cast doubt on them. However, I firmly believe that we are expected to inform others of our candid views even when they might disagree with them.
First and foremost, stating our honest ideas enables other people to understand us. In this complex and crowded society, people have various opportunities to encounter different kinds of people; however less time is left for them to be fully acquainted with others. Therefore, if we reserve our opinions when making a decision as a group or remain silent when being asked, it will not only impede mutual understanding, but also hinder the establishment of more intimate relationship. For example,it is quite likely in class teaching that there are some students remain silent sine they are afraid that their answers would be rejected and refuted, which will prevent teachers to have an understanding of these students and giving suggestions to them.
To add more credibility, better decision can be made through group discussion and negotiation. It is known to all that people all have limited or biased understanding of one issue, therefore the decision made by an individual person will not be comprehensive and plausible in most cases. As a consequence, in order to reach a better result not only for the team but also for the decision maker, we are supposed to state our true feelings and recommendations to optimize the decision. For example, as a team member, I once challenged our leader for his being inconsiderate on our project. After an intensive conversation, we both arrived at a better conclusion on the project.
Admittedly, there might be conflicts in group discussion, since different people will give priority to different matters. In addition, some people may be stubborn and hard to persuade. However, as long as we keep calm and be considerate, not just emphasize our view but also present enough evidence, the outcome might be greatly improved after mutual compromises and concessions.
