With the unprecedented advancement of notions and ideas of education, I am genuinely happy to witness all kinds of successful practice of educating little kids. Children, who were only supposed to obey and copy appropriate behaviors, now have the luxury to behave on their own and learn from their own mistakes. As a parent-going-to-be, I really believe parents should let kids make some mistakes sometimes and learn from their wrong deeds.

First and foremost, it is often the case that only in this way can they learn from their bad behaviors. Generally and inevitably, children are not sophisticated enough to know why and how they make mistakes until they actually make one. I will exemplify what I mean. When I was little, I was told by my grandma not to play with fire since I would definitely be burnt if I did so. Accordingly, she put away all the watches and lighters in the house. To be frank, I had no idea of the damage of high temperature so I really wanted a try. Then one day I fulfilled my cherished wish with the help of my father and not surprisingly, I cried for the pain and my dad was pretty sure that I would learn the lesson. As a result, My suffering paid off, I kept away from the red devil ever since and I believed sincerely now that my father did me a great favor.

In addition to the effectiveness of learning from their own mistakes, children can also learn a great lesson that they, not others, are responsible and may suffer for their own mistakes, being the most significant lesson of adulthood. Kids would invariably hold the view that they have parents on their back somehow instinctively so they may not behave responsibly accordingly. Parents must undermine this illusion and let them make some mistakes and then they will really grow up. For instance, parents should let the children be financially independent in homes for a while, though they are fully aware that children will obviously make stupid mistakes. When children spend limited money on items like basketball shoes while have no money for food, parents should let them eat only bread daily to teach them a real lesson to make sure they can handle money, and more significantly, their lives in the future.

In a final analysis, given the advantages of letting children make mistakes, including effectiveness of learning from mistakes and mistakes helping them being responsible, it is quite reasonable and preferable to do so.

It is rather obvious that consumers are not always rational when they decide to make purchasing, especially youngsters. As is often the case, they buy items because others buy them and use them, not because they really need those, which can be a lively example of effects of consumerism on modern people. The evident phenomenon, however, has profound reasons.

First and foremost, the presence of stars in commercials can always make consumers desire the item so much that they tend to buy them regardless their actual need. The best commercials can always send the information unintentionally that the ownership of the item can always bring about happy feelings and satisfying because stars in the ads buy and use them. For instance, basketball shoes manufacturers always hire super stars like Kobe Bryant to help them sell shoes so kids who are their fans will buy these shoes even though quite a lot of them do not play basketball at all. After all, it is amazingly wonderful to wear the same shoes as their idles, right?

In addition, individuals tend to buy expensive products many people around them have to prevent being looked down upon by others. Frankly speaking,  no one want to be fall behind in any aspects of life and be regarded as looser. What people fail to realize is that the thought has  huge negative impacts on us when we decide to make purchases. For instance, iphone, a normal smart phone in other country, has become a luxury in China and it is almost a symbol of wealth and social status. People are crazy about them because they believe basically all others want to use it. Those who use other cell phones will be regarded as unaffluent people who do not have adequate money for an iphone. Do people buy iphone because of its quality and function? It is highly unlikely to say so since most people never know the differences between IOS and Adroit operating system. They lack basic knowledge of smart phones and they want from iphone most is recognition from others who also use them. As a matter of fact, users who like to explore their phones prefer to use those equipped with Adroit system since they are more flexible and offer users more options.

In a final analysis, due to the lack of reasons, consumers tend to buy items not only because stars in commercials buy them, but also because some items are possessed by people around them.

With the unprecedented advancement of notions and ideas of education, the role of teachers and the relationship between teachers and students have altered completely. Nowadays students are even blessed with the chance and clearance to joke with teachers, which would definitely be considered insane in the past. However, if students find teachers making a mistake in classrooms, taking many factors into account, it is reasonable for him or her to tell the instructors after classes.

First and foremost, by doing so students can avoid the phenomenon that they, instead of teachers, are indeed wrong. It is often the case that when we believe firmly we are right, we are actually wrong. If we state our so called right answer in classes directly, we will be considerably embarrassed sometimes. Traditional Chinese wisdom tells us that think twice before we leap. People should really listen to them on this issue. Anyway, it is rather a wise choice to examine our opinion and then decide whether we should inform the teachers after classes.

In addition to the possibility that we may be wrong, it is also rather rude to correct the teacher when he or she makes a mistake in class. Though the relationship between teachers and students is quite casual and the so called students-centered schooling is widely believed to be optimal one. Still, students should not be allowed and tolerated to just interrupt teachers in classes though they believe they have legitimate reasons. Not to mention the fact that teachers, like we students, are normal people instead of saints. There is no guarantee that they will not regard the inappropriate behavior as personal conflicts and take action accordingly in the future .

Last but not least, we should also state the opinion after class instead of just remaining silent and ignoring the mistake made by teacher since it is just not academically beneficial for other students in class. They may be misled by teachers and memorize the wrong knowledge or ideas until they make  mistakes in future exams. Only by pointing out the flaws after classes can we prevent that unfortunate things from happening.

In a final analysis, due to the apparent shortcomings of other choices, which are pointing out the error immediately and remaining quiet when we find flaws and mistakes in teachers’ lecture, we should really tell the teachers during class breaks, avoiding the embarrassment, too.
