托福閱讀考題中的每篇文章題量基本在13-14題，而在這13-14題當中，細節(jié)題又會占據(jù)到3-6題，可見其在托福閱讀考題當中所占的比重之大。既然這類題目出題頻率如此之高，我們來淺談一下托福閱讀解題技巧，以及同學們平時做題時易犯的錯誤。
做細節(jié)題的第一步是審題目，找到題目當中的關(guān)鍵信息，以下題為例：
According to paragraph 2, camels were important because they…
讀完題目，大多數(shù)同學都能迅速得出關(guān)鍵信息，即camels和important。但是同學們一定要注意，此題還有一個關(guān)鍵信息就是because，題目問的是camels很important的原因！既然已經(jīng)判斷出了題目的關(guān)鍵信息，第二步就是用關(guān)鍵信息回原文定位，找到關(guān)鍵信息所在的那一句或者那幾句定位句，精讀定位句。讀完定位句之后，最后一步才是去讀四個選項，選擇正確答案。
以上題為例，題目問的非常明確，定位起來也不易錯。但是有些題目的定位就沒有這么容易了，以下題為例：
Paragraph 3 Climatic changes at the end of the glacial period 13,000 years ago have been proposed to account for the emergence of farming. The temperature increased dramatically in a short period of time (years rather than centuries), allowing for a growth of the hunting-gathering population due to the abundance of resources. There were, however, fluctuations in the climatic conditions, with the consequences that wet conditions were followed by dry ones, so that the availability of plants and animals oscillated brusquely.
According to paragraph 3，the abundance of resources fluctuated sharply after the end of the glacial period because…
》locally abundant resources were quickly exhausted by hunter-gatherers
》the temperature became much higher in some areas over others
》different types of plants and animals became available as the climate changed
》the amount of rainfall varied radically from one period to the next
有的同學讀完題目，覺得該題的關(guān)鍵信息是the abundance of resources的原因，然后用此信息直接去原文定位，找到這么一句話The temperature increased dramatically in a short period of time (years rather than centuries), allowing for a growth of the hunting-gathering population due to the abundance of resources. 如果拿這句話做定位句是不可能選出正確選項的，因為定位定錯了。
我們再讀一遍題目，題目問的其實不是the abundance of resources的原因，問的是the abundance of resources fluctuated sharply（豐富資源急劇波動）的原因。由此回原文定位，會找到這么一句話There were, however, fluctuations in the climatic conditions, with the consequences that wet conditions were followed by dry ones, so that the availability of plants and animals oscillated brusquely. 精讀完此句，會發(fā)現(xiàn)the availability of plants and animals oscillated brusquely（植物及動物急劇震蕩）的真正原因是氣候急劇波動導致濕季跟著干季。也就是第四個選項的意思the amount of rainfall varied radically from one period to the next，從而確定第四個選項為正確選項。
總結(jié)一下，細節(jié)題的關(guān)鍵是要找出題目中的關(guān)鍵信息，再用關(guān)鍵信息進行定位。請同學們一定要讀懂題目再回原文定位！
