He can take this class the next semester. Pro: It won't be a problem because it's only been 2 weeks since they started this semester.

If he go for audition dressing the large suit, may give the employer a bad impression; 2. Buy a new one, but the man said it was too expensive, because he wanted to save the money to buy a new bike.

S5 Problem: 女生買了一張今天晚上的話劇票,哈姆雷特。答應和朋友一起去。但是忘記明天有一個非常重要的生物學考試。

Solutions: 1.帶著書去,在去的bus上先看一部分,等看完話劇再回來完成剩下的部分。But 男生質(zhì)疑有時間在路上看么?能集中精力么? 2. 就是取消這個約會,不去看話劇了,專心復習一整個晚上。朋友會理解,But 已經(jīng)買票了,而且女生很想看。

S6 Lecture: 公司一般通過經(jīng)本年度的profit 在下一年進行invest來進行增長,一般有兩種方式:1.Internal:投入公司內(nèi)部的預算,比如buy new machine, training the employees.舉例:Wilson公司有很多很老的機器,然后buy new machine,提高效率,吸引了customer因為save time,所以有了更多的客戶,公司得到了增長。2.External:buy or merge the related company,可以得到該企業(yè)的客戶,實現(xiàn)增長。舉例:Wilson并購了local supermarkets,得到了他們的客戶,因為客戶還是會在原來的超市購買。因此 Wilson 的客戶 dramatically increased.

Listening: 舉的 leaf cutter ants的例子,分 3步:(1)一部分負責從樹上把樹葉弄下來;(2)一部分負責把掉下來的樹葉cut成能運回nest的小分;(3)一部分負責把切好的樹葉運回。

S5 Problem: 一男的想把notes還給Tina,因為她要用,他在約好的地方等,Tina沒出現(xiàn),這個男的打電話Tina又不接,明天就要考試了,男生馬上也有事情。

Solutions: 女生給了兩個建議:(1) 放她 dorm ,男的說這樣他part time job就遲到了;(2)可以通過campus mail,然后給 Tina手機留言,但是男生說怕Tina下午才能收到筆記來不及復習。

S6 Lecture: The barrier of opening new business. The first one is financial barrier. For example, to open a new gym, we should spend a lot of money on the expensive equipment and so on. The second one is customer loyalty, the same example, people are used to go to the popular gyms that are opened before, and it is difficult to stop them to go there.

S6 Lecture: 美國發(fā)展快,主要原因之一就是railroad的發(fā)展:1. 方便商品運輸,舉例,某鐘表公司,有了鐵路,可以讓很多人都購買他的鐘表,不僅僅是那些本地的或周圍的,在遠地方的人們也可以購買;2. 讓公司located in new area,舉例,某公司依靠煤發(fā)展,有鐵路后他們就可以選擇更好的地點而不是只在煤礦周圍,因為鐵路運輸可以讓他們得到煤。

S6 Lecture: Small business的市場策略。對于Marketing廣告,投資一般很大,小企業(yè)怎么辦?兩個方法:1,聚焦客戶群:比如社區(qū)修電腦的僅在當?shù)氐纳鐓^(qū)報紙的科技版面登載廣告;2,與大品牌聯(lián)合營銷Joint Marketing:比如還是修電腦的可以將廣告放在社區(qū)最大電腦銷售商店的Leaflet上面一起推銷。

S6 Lecture:comparative marketing risk1 讓公眾知道了competitor的名字,publicity of the name 例子某某soup的廣告讓觀眾把taste better和競爭對手的名字聯(lián)系起來risk2 insult consumers 例子某A香波廣告說某B廣告不好,會insult某B香波的使用者。
