隨著計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)專業(yè)（computer science）就業(yè)普遍被看好，CS的申請(qǐng)難度急速上升，無(wú)論是學(xué)計(jì)算機(jī)相關(guān)專業(yè)的還是其他不相關(guān)專業(yè)的，似乎都懷揣著一個(gè)“硅谷”夢(mèng)想，申請(qǐng)美帝的計(jì)算機(jī)專業(yè)。近期收到不少申請(qǐng)2017年秋季計(jì)算機(jī)專業(yè)的學(xué)生反饋說(shuō)今年UTD（德克薩斯大學(xué)達(dá)拉斯分校，一所地理位置和就業(yè)均不錯(cuò)的中高端學(xué)生的保底院校）開(kāi)始拒絕一些背景條件不錯(cuò)的學(xué)生（211.985學(xué)校，GPA80，托福100，GRE320），可見(jiàn)CS專業(yè)的持續(xù)升溫以及申請(qǐng)的形勢(shì)日漸嚴(yán)峻。那么對(duì)于并沒(méi)有那么希望走純技術(shù)路線，喜歡交叉學(xué)科，例如技術(shù)+管理的學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)，信息系統(tǒng)管理是一個(gè)非常好的選擇。今天林老師就來(lái)給大家科普一下這個(gè)專業(yè)。
何謂信息系統(tǒng)管理或者管理信息系統(tǒng)（MIS），先來(lái)看一個(gè)定義：
A management information system (MIS) provides information that organizations require to manage themselves efficiently and effectively. Management information systems are typically computer systems used for managing. The five primary components: 1.) Hardware, 2.) Software, 3.) Data (information for decision making), 4.) Procedures (design,development and documentation), and 5.) People (individuals, groups, or organizations). Management information systems are distinct from other information systems because they are used to analyze and facilitate strategic and operational activities.
從上面的定義我們可以看出，MIS專業(yè)是一門(mén)電腦軟件與硬件的互補(bǔ)學(xué)科，通常是個(gè)人或者組織用于收集、過(guò)濾、處理、創(chuàng)建數(shù)據(jù)。鑒于其交叉學(xué)科的性質(zhì)，MIS專業(yè)的就業(yè)除了集中在IT公司技術(shù)部門(mén)之外，還有咨詢公司，以及其他各行業(yè)的信息部門(mén)，從崗位上面來(lái)說(shuō)包括信息咨詢師，軟件工程師，數(shù)據(jù)分析師等，更高的職位就是CTO即技術(shù)總監(jiān)。
