At present, many parents know the importance of reading books and they also want to their children can read a lot of books when they are young. However, parents do not have enough time to telling stories to children sometimes.

Some people believe parents should spend time on telling stories to children. Children can feel much care and love from their parents. It can cut down the distance between parents and children. Children when they are very young, they may cannot understand content very clearly. So parents need to tell stories to children and it can help children understand content better. Parents should also take responsibility for care about their children. I can remember clearly when I was young, my parents always told stories to me. However, children may depend on their parents and they will do not want to read book personally.

Others believe children can read a variety of books by themselves. It can bring up their patient when they are young and it will be a wealth for their. When they grow up, they can adapt to school life better. When they have some difficult problems, they can look up solution from book. Meanwhile children read books by themselves if children read books by themselves, it can reduce the pressure of parents. Parents are occupied with their enterprise all day. Of course, there are some potential hazards about reading books by themselves. Nowadays as the means of communication become more and more advanced, children have much chances to seeing information and some bad information, including family violence and bloody books. Children may cannot distinguish right from wrong and these books will produce some negative effects for children. In these years, the rate of crime witnesses an upward trend all around the world.

So in my opinion, parents should tell stories to their children when they have free time. Of course, parents should bring up their children read books by themselves.
