托福對考生的聽力能力提出了三大更高的要求。環(huán)球托福就各位考生解讀這三大要求匯編了常見題干，幫助考生在備考時克服托福聽力的障礙。

關(guān)聯(lián)信息的理解能力，即Connecting Information，這種能力的考察相當(dāng)重視對文章脈絡(luò)和上下文關(guān)聯(lián)信息的把握，主要通過Organization Questions(結(jié)構(gòu)題)和Relationship Questions(關(guān)聯(lián)題)實(shí)施測試。

語用信息的理解能力，即Pragmatic Understanding，這是托福聽力中層次最高的能力考察，因而所占比例只有20%-25%，主要通過Function Questions(功能/目的題)和 Stance Questions(態(tài)度題)加以測試。比如當(dāng)你聽到It sure is cold in here.你的第一反應(yīng)永遠(yuǎn)是字面上的 The temperature here is low.,但在特定環(huán)境中，這句話的目的很可能是為了Get you to close the window.

功能/目的題主要分為一般功能題、重聽題(回放題)和就詞組/句式提問題三種。
