2014年1月雅思口語新話題解析

2014年1月出現(xiàn)了一些新話。這里先和各位分享一個(gè)part1的新話題：Dictionary. 很多考生完全沒有準(zhǔn)備，不具備這個(gè)話題的相關(guān)語料，導(dǎo)致考試的時(shí)候無話可說。

Do you use dictionary?

I have the habit of going through dictionary. I have an Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary. I bought in last year.我有查字典的習(xí)慣。我有一本牛津高階詞典。去年買的。

I use an online dictionary more than a book. I use www.dictionary all the time when I am unsure of the spelling or meaning. I can't remember the last word I looked up. 我用在線詞典，當(dāng)我不確定單詞拼寫或意思的時(shí)候，一直都用dictionary這個(gè)在線詞典網(wǎng)站。我也忘了上次我查的詞是什么了。

Which kind of dictionaries do you prefer to use?

As I am not always online and have to work under different circumstances, I have my main electronic dictionaries loaded in my laptop. I like the paper version but it is far too slow. 我要在各種條件下工作而且經(jīng)常不在線，所以在電腦里裝了電子詞典。我喜歡紙質(zhì)詞典，但它查起詞來太慢了。

Getting the right dictionary is important in the learning process. I prefer monolingual dictionary such as the Cambrdge Advanced Learner's Dictionary. It's the best dictionary with frequency information, collocation boxes and some exercises.學(xué)習(xí)過程中找對(duì)詞典非常重要，我更喜歡單語(英英)詞典比如劍橋高階。這是一本非常好的詞典，有詞頻，搭配和練習(xí)。

Do you think the dictionary is useful?     

Yes. It provides a list of words and often a wide range of examples as in how the different words are used.  A good dictionary provide us with information we need in order to spell and use correct grammar regarding each different word. 詞典給我們提供了大量的單詞同時(shí)配有如何使用這些詞的例句。一本好的詞典讓我們知道不同的單詞如何正確拼寫及使用語法等。

我們來看看1月份的另一個(gè)新話題——Raining。對(duì)降雨或雨天，怎么用地道的表達(dá)方式來討論，都有哪些不錯(cuò)的素材？

Do you like rainy days?

I love rain. I like the way it sounds and I like looking at it falling from the sky. 我喜歡雨。我喜歡下雨的聲音，而且喜歡看它從天而降。

I love a nice rainy day where the rain comes down steadily or lightly and soaks into the ground. 我喜歡下雨天，喜歡小雨或者連綿的雨下著并浸入土地。

Don't get me started, I soooo dislike them, as they make me feel miserable and grumpy. Give me sunshine any day!別讓我開始說，我煩死下雨了，讓我覺得難受，愛發(fā)脾氣。我要陽光的一天！

What do you do on rainy days?   

If it rains a lot, I open the windows and like to hear the sound of rain and try to feel the water drops being inside. I like to have hot coffee also and enjoy it when it rains all day long. Normally I do not switch on my PC much on rainy days, rather I like to watch TV on that time. 如果總下雨，我喜歡打開窗戶聽雨的聲音，試著感受雨滴。如果一整天都下雨，我喜歡邊喝咖啡邊享受。一般我不打開電腦，更喜歡在下雨天看電視。

I get wet running around in the rain like a little kid! I love it!! Plus, I call up the pizza place and make them deliver it in the pouring rain. 我喜歡在下雨天像個(gè)孩子一樣在雨里跑把自己淋濕。還要打電話到披薩店讓他們?cè)谄皾姶笥昀锝o我送外賣來！

What is the importance of the rainfall?

Rain is so important us. It irrigates our crops, it gives us water our body needs. It washes away dirt and impurities, and it's fun to play in. Without water, no living thing can survive. 雨水對(duì)我們太重要了。它灌溉莊稼，給我們身體所需的水。它沖走塵土和不干凈的東西，而且在雨里玩也很有趣。沒有水，沒有生物可以存活。

Rain is very important to farms to make sure that the crops that are being grown receive the right amount of moisture so that the crops harvested are maximized. 雨水對(duì)農(nóng)場(chǎng)很重要，它能確保正在生長(zhǎng)的莊稼可以得到足夠量的濕度從而最大化收成。
