教師點金：雅思寫作高分全指導

 大家都知道，雅思寫作是一項語言輸出工作，很考驗烤鴨們的真正運用英語的能力。在考場上，看懂一個題目并及時給出觀點是不夠的，我們還要用地道書面的語言把我們的內(nèi)心的全部想法清晰的表達出來，并且需要用impressive的語言把可能與別人相同的想法或思路展現(xiàn)給考官，這樣才能保證拿到desirable 的成績。那么，我們就分別從2個方面入手：詞，句。

高頻詞匯

首先看看“詞”。 如果烤鴨們備考的時間充裕的話，應該先從詞下手。雅思寫作詞匯不在于多，不在于深，而在于多樣性，靈活性和恰當性。我們可以歸納并熟記寫作常用詞匯的同義替換，以下是個人總結(jié)的部分寫作高頻詞匯替換：

Good: favorable/ beneficial/ desirable/ wholesome /positive

Bad: negative/ unfavorable/ undesirable/ unwholesome/ irrational/ insensible / destructive/ catastrophic

Enough: sufficient/ adequate/abundant

A lot of: a wide range of / a great diversity of / a great variety of ……….

More and more: increasing/ growing/ rising

May/will: be likely to/ tend to/ show a tendency to/ incline to

Should: be supposed to/ be expected to

Have to: be forced to/ be compelled to / have no alternative but to do

Cause: trigger/ give rise to / induce/ contribute to

Affect: exert/ constitute …. Effects / implications/ impacts on

Use: adopt/ employ/ apply/ take advantage of/ make optimal use of/ utilize/ popularity/ prevalence

Prevent: restrain/ refrain/ discourage …. From doing sth

Lack: absence/ deficiency/ scarcity/ absence/ shortage

Health: physical and psychological well being/ fitness/ soundness

Seriousness: severity/ deterioration/ exacerbation/ aggravation

Pollution: contamination

Success: personal achievement/ accomplishment/ gratifying results

Successful: distinguished/ prominent/ eminent/ outstanding

Mature: sophisticated

Too much contact with: excessive exposure to

Be faced with：be confronted with

Take some measures: adopt some rules and regulations/ enforce some strategies

Pay attention to: place a premium on / give priority to /attach much emphasis on

Make some realize: raise/ arouse/ enhance sb’s awareness

Spend money on: invest in/ provide financial support to / funds/ budgetSpend too much time on: be obsessed with/ be fascinated with/ get addicted to / indulge in / revel in ; be occupied with

我們來具體試用上面幾個短語：

如在教育類，科技類及社會類話題經(jīng)常會考到學生是否該花很多時間在玩游戲上，人們是否花太多時間在工作上時，題目里經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)的字眼就是“spend too much time on sth”, 我們首段改寫題目時就可以說 teenagers are so fascinated with various forms of entertainment, including playing computer games/ an increasing number of working people are fully occupied with their job.

語句優(yōu)化

其次，我們再來看一下句子。句子的練習方式有很多：中英翻譯，英英改寫及句子擴寫等。個人認為如果語法及詞匯比較缺的同學可以先從句子翻譯練起，雖然可能過程比較痛苦，但是效果會比較好。當然，中英翻譯最好有人指導著去練習并且要有較好的參考句子才可以。有了一定的語言基礎（句子書寫基本沒有語法錯誤，寫作基本詞匯具備）的情況下，可以英英改寫或是句子擴寫。下面附上幾個教學過程中經(jīng)常講的句子練習：

1.中英翻譯

A. 大部分學生相信業(yè)余工作會使他們有更多機會發(fā)展人際交往能力，而這對他們未來找工作是非常有好處的。

參考答案：

Most students believe that part-time job provides them with more opportunities to develop their interpersonal skills, which exerts a favorable impact on their future employment/ thereby placing them in a favorable position in terms of future employment.

解析：

1) 很多學生會在第一時間 把發(fā)展人際交往能力寫成：Communication skills；把對….有好處寫成：be good for .如果讓他們再說出幾個可以替換的，有些學生就詞窮了。

2)很多學生會把這個長句子寫成 run-on 的語法錯誤，這里可強調(diào) which 從句的使用；如果本句內(nèi)重點要突出 對未來工作的好處，可使用thereby 句型。

B. 現(xiàn)在，人們普遍認為沒有一所大學能夠在畢業(yè)時候教給學生所有的知識。

參考答案：

It is generally accepted （acknowledged）that no university is likely to impart all of knowledge

to students when they graduate.

解析：

“人們普遍認為”的直譯版本為：As we all know, as everyone knows

“能夠”的直譯版本為:Can，“教”的直譯版本為:Teach，其實，考生可以利用細節(jié)體現(xiàn)自己的語言水平，就像參考例句的版本。

C. 近些年，越來越多的父母要求他們的孩子接受額外教育。

參考答案：

i. There is a growing trend for parents to ask their children to receive extra education.

ii. An increasing number of parents ask their children to receive extra education.

解析：

學生對 “越來越多的” 標準答案 是 “more and more”. 如果掌握了句型 there is growing trend for sb to do sth, 就可以直觀的展示出另一種表達方式并且有效的避免一些語法錯誤。另外，此句型可舉一反三引出：There is a growing recognition about sth/that +從句 -----

There is a growing recognition about the significance of tertiary education.
 

D. 現(xiàn)在有很多環(huán)境問題，比如區(qū)域性的森林砍伐和溫室效應。

參考答案：

The recent decades have witnessed a great variety of environmental problems, ranging fromregional deforestation to global warming.

解析：

一般說到 “現(xiàn)在有…”，最直接的翻譯是 there be 句型； “很多”是 a lot of/many; “舉例”是such as. 參考答案更能體現(xiàn)學生的語言基礎應用能力。

 2.英英改寫

A. Nowadays, we can see a lot of advertisements.

參考答案：Living in this information age, people are bombarded with substantial numbers of advertisements

B. Advertising tells us much information so we can have many choices to buy things.

參考答案：Advertising informs people of more alternative products, allowing prospective consumers to make a rational buying decision according to their needs.

C. People now care about quality.

參考答案： Quality is, in most cases, a primary concern to people

D. Advertisements, such as billboards, TV commercials and flyers make those who do not want to buy things buy a lot of things.

參考答案：Advertisements, ranging from billboards, TV commercials to flyers turn unintended/ unintentional window shoppers successfully into impulsive buyers.

3.句子擴寫

A. Modern society is marked by environmental problems, ranging from global warming, deforestation, the loss of soil and water (soil erosion), and the depletion of fossil fuels to mass species extinction (the depletion of habitats of wildlife.)

B. Daily life is overwhelmed with many advertisements, including TV commercials, billboards, flyers and brochures.

C. The prevalence of technological facilities , such as various means of transports and telecommunication devices, makes it possible for individuals to conduct many tasks efficiently without the constraints of geography and time

D. Mass media, such as the Internet, TV, newspapers and magazines, present us with substantial amounts of information which greatly disorient learners of all ages.

如果我們有了以上較好的備考過程，必定能很高效的積累寫作必備詞匯及句型，讓我們的思路通過一個良好的載體—語言 清晰透徹的分析一個話題。自然，我們理想的寫作分數(shù)也就不會再是空中樓閣。
