However, it doesn’t make sense to me to venerate languages acquisition as the key to understand foreign cultures. Those focusing exclusively on the relevance of languages with a nation are oblivious to the ambiguity of the definition of culture – this is an umbrella concept that encompasses multiple facets of a society, i.e., arts, economy, or the characteristics of its residents; based on this understanding, to obtain other knowledge may be more effective to comprehend a country’s culture. One option can be the appreciation of the arts of a nation, such as its folk or painting that illustrate its history or tradition; it is particularly important for some cultures without written record.

From what has been discussed, I would say that it is simplistic to venerate the learning of languages over other options in relation to the understanding of the culture of a country, since the definition of culture is an overarching term that goes beyond the linguistic dimension.
