真題解析:

P1 Friends

Q1:Do you remember your friends in primary school? Why?

Well, it's been so long since I graduated from my primary school. So honestly I don't remember all of my friends from back then. There are only a few of them that I'm still in touch with. But we now all have new friends, so we seldom see each other these days.

Q2:What do you do with friends?

I can do all kinds of things with my friend, like playing computer games, doing exercise, going shopping and singing Karaoke. Not only we can have fun together, but we can also go to the library and study together.

Q3:How do you make friends?

Most of my friends are myclassmates. But there are also some who I get to know from the same

interest groups or clubs. As we share the same hobby, it is easy to start a conversation, and if we get along, we become friends.

P2 Describe a product you bought and felt happy. What it was

Where you bought it

What it was for/howitwasused

And explain why it made you happy

I recently bought a new blender.I used to have one but it broke some time ago, and at the time I didn’t bother to replace it. But after a while I began to really miss making smoothies and juices, so last month I eventually bought a new one to replace the broken one.

I bought it onlinebecause the price was considerably cheaper than the ones I had seen in the local stores. However, I had to pay a little extra to get it shipped but it was still cheaper than buying it from the store, so I was really happy about that.

The day I got it, I unpacked and cleaned it before using for the first time – and I made one of my favorite smoothies, which is a blend of bananas, apples and peanut butter. I hadn’t had one for a couple of months, so I made a big batch of it and I stored the leftover in the refrigerator.

I was really pleased with the blender first because it was recommended on various consumer websites as being‘the best buy’ at the moment. It also came with a 12-month warranty, which I thought was good, too. By the way, the particular model of blender I bought has some nice features like a really big jug and a powerful motor so it can slice and dice up even solid vegetables.

Part 3

How often do people in your country go shopping?

Well, I think it’s actually pretty hard to generalize how often people go shopping because it varies person to person. Some people are shopaholics, especially some young woman. They shop almost every day, in the malls or on their phones. While some guys hardly ever shop, they think it’s a waste of their time. As far as I know, most of my friends go shopping for clothes once or twice a month.

2. What kinds of places are popular for shopping in China?

I think people used to like to go shopping in large department stores or big shopping centers. There are many other recreational facilities in the shopping mall, such as movie theaters, coffee shops, so they can shop for a while and then do something else to kill time. But now, because of the thriving of internet, more and more people tend to buy things online, for example, taobao, jingdong and some places like that.

3. Do you think online shopping will replace shopping in reality?

I would say no. Although shopping online has many advantages, it still lacks many things with traditional shopping can offer. People go shopping in stores not only for their products, but also for the experience. They can go with their family and friends, and enjoy shopping and chatting at

the same time. What's more, when people shop in reality, they can feel the material with their hands, they can try the clothes on, which they can’t if they shop online. So I don't think online shopping will replace traditional shopping.
