看電影學(xué)托福：《La La Land》

愿有情人終成單身狗

先別雞凍，此La La并非彼拉拉。“La La”在這里是洛杉磯Los Angeles的簡稱。所以“La La Land”雖然官方譯作《愛樂之城》，但是字面意思應(yīng)該是“洛杉磯愛情故事”吧。

但是《愛樂之城》這個(gè)翻譯充分暴露了此片歌舞劇的本質(zhì)。港真，我一直不能理解歌舞類的電影（注意中心詞是電影哦，當(dāng)然歌劇不在討論范疇之內(nèi)~），尤其對幾個(gè)人說著說著話就唱了起來，接著后面毫不相干的路人甲乙丙丁們也跟被激活了一樣一起唱唱跳跳起來的邏輯absolutely理解無能。

However, 今年的美國的影視頒獎季，歌舞劇《La La Land》有如黑馬，脫韁而出，金球獎7提7中，奧斯卡的提名14項(xiàng)，追平《泰坦尼克號》的歷史記錄。

這無疑激起我的好奇心：這部名字聽起來像是LGBT的宣傳片的電影究竟在講什么？于是便搜來了電影資源探個(gè)究竟。

看完之后決定隆重安利一發(fā)：影片的cast很用心，主角擔(dān)當(dāng)是高司令Ryan Gosling是石頭姐Emma Stone這兩個(gè)文藝片男神女神。Plus，導(dǎo)演是《爆裂鼓手》（這個(gè)電影在另一篇文章中安利過）的暗黑系編劇Damien Chazelle！

熟悉《爆裂鼓手》的小伙伴們一定知道，這個(gè)導(dǎo)演有自己的一套清奇的世界觀，所以肯定不會給觀眾一個(gè)俗套又甜膩的愛情片結(jié)局。但是放心，這也絕不是“絕癥百科全書”似的韓劇。

在這部電影精致的、懷舊的、溫情的、繾綣的外殼之下，包裝著的絕對是一個(gè)讓人大吃一驚又唏噓不已的結(jié)局。如果要簡單粗暴地寫出一句話影評，大概是：“愿有情人終成單身狗”吧。

以下是IMDB上最有誠意的storyline， 寫得很精妙，一起來精讀學(xué)習(xí)吧，順便提升下托福寫作段位：

In Hollywood, Mia and Sebastian are struggling to make it（成功只會用success吧） in their respective（各自的；注意和respectful的區(qū)別） careers, about which each has extreme passion. Mia is an actress who moved from small town Nevada and dropped out of college five years ago to pursue her dream. She is enamored with old time Hollywood - the movies on which she grew up - but hates the cattle herding feeling of going on auditions, and her belief that she needs to schmooze at social events to get ahead in the business. Sebastian is a jazz pianist, his style of jazz in the vein of（一脈相承的） traditionalists like Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk. He wants to do his part to preserve that tradition, especially as he knows that that style of music is dying. He has trouble emotionally playing（have trouble doing sth） music he doesn't like just to get a paying gig. His dream is to open his own jazz club, most specifically in what used to be a famous jazz club that has since been converted to a tapas bar cum salsa dance club. Partly because of their individual struggles and partly because of the situations, their initial couple of chance meetings are antagonistic ones. But they eventually become attracted to each other largely because of the passion each sees in the other for what he/she is striving for in life（寫作文時(shí)敢把passion和for隔得這么遠(yuǎn)嗎）. However, there are many obstacles to a Mia/Sebastian happily ever after. They may be able to endure the life of a struggling artist for so long before those struggles take their toll（產(chǎn)生負(fù)面影響）. The pursuit of their individual dreams may take all their energies, with nothing left for their relationship. And any compromise each may make in getting ahead may change the person with whom each has fallen in love. 

電影前面的談情說愛和歌舞表演都很藝術(shù)，但是最吸引我的絕對還是結(jié)尾。The ending is what can really make or break a movie. This one makes it 10 times better. It goes away from the predictable musical ending while wrapping up（圓滿完成） the movie in fellow swoop, opening the audiences' eyes to the entire meaning of the story, beyond the theme of follow your dreams.（這兩層的狀語連用得很漂亮） The idea that dreams are possible when you are willing to strive for（為...奮斗） them, but life isn't your own la la land. Everything does not end perfectly. （“la la land” 是 Los Angeles 洛杉磯的別稱。）

所以在電影最后的十分鐘，當(dāng)酒吧的名字毫無預(yù)兆地出現(xiàn)時(shí)，我瞬間哭成了狗：愛情美好，夢想可貴。如果生命能重來一起，你還會是如今的樣子嗎？生活充滿的各種可能，當(dāng)我們跨過山和大海，穿過人山人海，最終是誰與我們結(jié)伴同行呢？

在豆瓣上看到了喜歡的張小北（對，我就這么文藝）寫下的影評：我們那些曾經(jīng)錯(cuò)過的美好人生啊…….

總之，2017年的情人節(jié)，《La La Land》，值得一刷~
