看美劇學(xué)英語：《I'm Your Man》其實(shí)是一部紀(jì)錄片

今年Bob Dylan獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎，授獎詞這樣寫“having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” 諾貝爾文學(xué)獎委員會常任秘書Sara Danius稱迪倫是“英語文學(xué)傳統(tǒng)中的偉大詩人”，并將迪倫的作品與古希臘兩位詩人Homer和Sappho。

而Bob Lylan卻這樣評價(jià)另一位音樂詩人：For me， Leonard，you are the first, while I am Zero。這個人就是《I’m Your Man》的主角Leonard Cohen。

2005年1月，導(dǎo)演Lian Lusion遠(yuǎn)赴悉尼歌劇院為一場名為《Came  So Far For Beauty》演唱會進(jìn)行拍攝，以向Leonard Cohen致敬。影片是首次對Leonard這位音樂界的巨擘進(jìn)行零距離接觸、最赤裸的深入訪談，從Leonard的詩作、小說等作品，甚至他的繪畫創(chuàng)作及相片收藏等，透過難能可貴的訪問和李歐納親身的自述，見識他獨(dú)特的魅力所在。

看美劇學(xué)英語系列中，片名《I’m Your Man》選自Leonard 1988年的同名專輯，但是后來由于其中的法西斯隱喻被打壓。

看美劇學(xué)英語的《I'm Your Man》影片當(dāng)中有很多音樂奇才對于Leonard 的評價(jià)，愛慕甚至高山仰止的崇拜，Leonard在影片里這樣說自己：

“I had the title poet, maybe I was one for a while.  Also the title singer, but it kindly accorded me, even though I can barely carry a tune.

For many years, I was known as  a monk, I shaved my head and worn robe and got up very early. I hated everyone, but I acted generously, and no one found it out. My reputation as “a ladies man” was a joke, it causes me to laugh bitterly through the ten thousand nights I spent alone.”

Leonard于2014年接受過一篇采訪，題目叫做“80年來，Leonard一直很屌”。采訪里提到了一些他的過往，比如：Leonard Cohen 最開始以小說家兼詩人聞名，后移居希臘九頭蛇島實(shí)驗(yàn)安非他命和寫作。Leonard在愛琴海邊度過了16個月混合著毒品與禁食的拮據(jù)生活后，他開始出現(xiàn)幻覺。在十天的禁食之后，他的體重縮減至52公斤，一次中暑使他的身體徹底崩潰，他也因此放棄了藝術(shù)上的努力。

在此期間創(chuàng)作的小說Beautiful Losers1966年出版，這本書被冠以兩個截然不同的頭銜“加拿大史上最令人反感的書”以及“加拿大年度最有趣的書”。

Leonard自青年就對東方玄學(xué)大感興趣。1995年，他六十一歲，剃度出家，到洛杉磯市郊的禪寺去當(dāng)和尚了，法名Jikan，意為“安靜的人”。1999年，Leonard終于結(jié)束禪僧生涯，2001年《Ten New Songs》問世。

今年七月，Leonard Cohen曾經(jīng)的摯愛離世，Leonard為摯愛寫下一封信：I think I will follow you very soon. Know that I am so close behind you that if you stretch out your hand, I think you can reach mine.（“我很快也會跟上你的腳步。要知道我離你是那么近，只要你伸開手，便能夠到我。“）

今年10月21日，Leonard發(fā)行專輯《You Want it Darker》，專輯發(fā)行不到一個月，Leonard于11月離世。《You Want it Darker》成為Leonard最后一張專輯，被稱為他的“音樂遺囑”。
