題目：Describe a time you nearly quit to do something. Explain how did you overcome the difficulty.

Personally, the thing I nearly quit to do just happened a few months ago. I was required to give a public speech in front of my school.

Actually, I’m a sort of introverted person and never tried to do something like this. Therefore, I was extremely stressed out and nearly quit at the beginning. In that case, I asked for help from my best friend Jessie. She even practiced with me twice a week after school. We made a big effort to look for materials online and did a lot of research.

Besides, I stayed up late every day in that period of time to practice, including eye contact, body movements and gestures, and even where to pause when giving speech. With her help, luckily, it turned out to be fantastic at the end.

This was a time I felt I was about to quit but conquered it at last, I treasured this experience a lot, not just because I had a taste of success, but I stepped out of my comfort zone.

題目：Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: in the recent 100 years, more and more people prefer to get information from electronic versions of materials instead of the ones printed on paper, in the near future, materials printed on paper will be totally replaced by electronic versions.

Well, from where I stand, I would definitely disagree with the point that printed materials will be totally replaced by the electronic ones.

The first fact I want to highlight is that printed materials like books and newspapers actually are kinds of culture throughout the whole world which represents the wisdom of our ancestors.

In addition, although electronic devices are convenient nowadays, the screen of it is harmful for our eyesight, we should never stare it for too long. And it’ll have radiation too.

Another thing I am willing to stress is that elder people are always a big portion of our society no matter in which country, they are less likely to try something creative and experimental. It is challenging for them to get information from electronic devices. So for the sake of our health and elder citizens’ trait, materials printed on paper are always be the first choice for some certain portion of population, that means this statement will never come true, at least in a short term.
