Casablanca as a film

Casablanca is a 1942 American romantic drama film. Set during World War II, it focuses on an American expatriate who must choose between his love for a woman and helping her Czech Resistance leader husband escape the Vichy-controlled city of Casablanca to continue his fight against the Nazis.

Casablanca was nominated for eight Academy Awards, and won three.In 2005, it was named one of the 100 greatest films of the last 80 years by Time magazine. In 2006, the Writers Guild of America, West agreed, voting it the best ever in its list of the 101 greatest screenplays.

Although highly reputed, the film has several logical flaws. Firstly, there was no uniformed German troops were stationed in Casablanca during World War II. Also, the usual route out of Germany at that time was via Vienna, Prague, Paris, and London. Others tried to go from Paris through the Pyrenees to Spain, not Casablanca, as portrayed in the film.

《卡薩布蘭卡》于1942年上映，講述了二戰(zhàn)時期，商人里克手持寶貴的通行證，反納粹人士維克多和妻子伊爾莎的到來使得里克與伊爾莎的舊情復(fù)燃，兩人面對感情和政治的矛盾難以抉擇的故事。

《卡薩布蘭卡》在第16屆奧斯卡獎頒獎禮上獲得了最佳影片、最佳導(dǎo)演、最佳劇本三項獎項  。2006年，美國好萊塢編劇協(xié)會評選了史上“101部最偉大的電影劇本”，該片排名第一位。

即便如此，影片還是存在于歷史不符的邏輯錯誤，比如，當時的卡薩布蘭卡并沒有影片中描述的正規(guī)德國軍隊或者警察；二戰(zhàn)期間逃離的德國的主要途徑也不是卡薩布蘭卡，而是維也納，布拉格。

電影中有很多經(jīng)典臺詞，中文翻譯非常生動：

 1.A lot of water under the bridge. 過去的事有如逝水。

2. I suspect that under that cynical shell you are at heart a sentimentalist.  我懷疑在你憤世嫉俗的外表下，你的內(nèi)心是個性情中人。

Casablanca as a song

這首歌曲《Casablanca》的創(chuàng)作和演唱者是Bertie Higgins。德國詩人Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe哥德是Bertie Higgins的曾曾祖父。

很多人以為這首歌是電影《卡薩布蘭卡》的插曲， 其實不然。Bertie Higgins曾與現(xiàn)任妻子，時任女友分開過一段時間；Bertie Higgins用兩年時間進行挽回，最后創(chuàng)作這首歌回憶了兩人曾經(jīng)一起看電影《卡薩布蘭卡》的場景。女友從收音機里聽到這首歌，終于感動，回到他身邊并答應(yīng)了他的求婚 。

Casablanca as a city

Casablanca  is the largest city of Morocco, located in the central-western part of the country on the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the most important cities in Africa, both economically and demographically.Casablanca once under the rule  of Portuguese, Spanish and French. Portuguese named it "Casa Branca" -- "White House" -- later changed to “Casablanca".
