1.Which one of the following would you take as an part-time job? A position as a lab assistant,campus tour guide,or library clerk and why.

思路剖析：兼職打工場景是同學(xué)們比較熟悉的場景，托福聽力的對話也有。但是相對于圖書管理員和campus tour guide，lab assistant大部分同學(xué)沒有做過，不太熟悉。因此建議同學(xué)選擇自己熟悉的點來講。比如說campus tour guide，我們可以聯(lián)系“學(xué)生需要哪些技能”這個題目，communication skills是我們常用的萬能理由。

I would like to choose campus tour guide, because first of all it is an excellent diversion for me. I am able to enjoy the pleasant view on campus when guiding the tourists,which can definitely ease the pressure from the heavy workload. Plus, being a campus tour guide is an invaluable opportunity for me to train my communication skills and meet new friends. Take me for example, when I was in my college, I volunteered to show freshmen around university, and answering questions asked by them, such as how to schedule the time in the university and so on. I ended up meeting a lot of new friends and improving my expressive ability.

If I were not allowed to use the cellphone for a month, my life would be in a mess. You know, people living in modern society are very dependent on cellphones since they are so multifunctional that we cannot live without them. For instance, cellphones play a very important role in both my study and life. I use them for looking up new words, locating a strange place,reserving a ticket and so on. Without cellphones, life will become very inconvenient and inefficient. So I cannot imagine what my life would be like if I could not use my cellphone even for a day, not mention a month.

1.Do you agree or disagree with the statement that parents today put more pressure on their children than the parents in the past? Explain why.

思路剖析：這個題目類似于托福獨立寫作的今昔對比題。托福獨立口語和托福獨立寫作很多題目比較類似，同學(xué)們完全可以互相借鑒，起碼理由一般是可以直接拿來用的。只是在語言表達上，注意寫作需要更加formal就好了。

I totally agree with the statement. Compared with the children before, children nowadays have too much stress exerted by their parents, since parents are hoping that their children can become more successful than them in the future. In this case, children are asked to study various special skills such as playing piano and practicing taekwondo apart from the basic subjects like math and foreign languages. For example, one of my best friends started to learn piano when she was four. In order to pass Band 8 test, she kept practicing piano for four hours each day under her mother’s close supervision.

2.Would you suggest young people graduating from college work in their hometown or in other cities?Explain why.

思路剖析：這個題目是老題新出，它和“在家鄉(xiāng)上大學(xué)還是在其他城市上大學(xué)”的題目比較類似。起碼有一點理由可以拿來用。例如：遠離家人，親情疏遠。

For students who graduate from universities, I strongly recommend that they go to their hometown to begin their career instead of other cities. As we all know that interpersonal relationship is vital to the career development, and hometown is the place where our social network is. Family members and former classmates are able to offer information and provide us with suggestions when we need any help. On the other hand, working in other cities means that we will have little time accompanying parents,especially when they are getting old. I do think it is the obligation of young people to attend parents, so it is wise for them to hunt for a job in the hometown.
