Whenever I had difficult problems I could not solve, I would turn to him for help. He would solve the problems very quickly without thinking too long. I admired him so much. Second, if one is intelligent, he can improve study efficiency. When you have a lot of homework and you are quite smart, you can finish your homework quickly. And then you can do some extra exercises beyond the books, so you can learn much more.

For example, when I was in my university, I had a friend named Jimmy. He majored in English. Interested in French, he also minored in French. He was very popular in school because only a few could speak French back then, and he made a lot of acquaintances. Second, taking courses outside the major field enable people to have a better chance to get a job. Also take my friend jimmy as an example. After graduating from university, he applied for a job as a foreign trader. Because he could speak three languages, he was hired among so many applicants.

Personally, I think the second solution is better, study is the most important thing for a student. And she will have more time to prepare if she doesn’t go, so she can get better grades. Second, if she goes to the show and studies on bus,the study environment is bad, so she might not be able sleep well at night.

　　In the lecture, the professor mainly talks about two reasons why it is hotter in cities than in the countryside. The first reason is that there are a lot of machines that generate a lot of heat. Second reason is that there are many gray and black places that absorb heat, like the streets. Those dark concrete take in heat, so even during the nights, they are still giving off heat, which makes the city hot.
