Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: zoos are more beneficial than harmful to animals? Explain why. Please include details and examples in your explanation.

In my opinion, zoos are more beneficial than harmful to animals because a lot of species of animals that are becoming extinct can be protected by the zoos and the zoos can teach people to be respectful to our environment.
For example, last month I visited the city zoo and saw pandas for the first time in my life. They are such beautiful, gentle creatures that are on the edge of extinction due to deforestation by human beings.
The pandas at the zoo were very well cared for and many visitors there also felt strongly that we human beings need to be respectful to other living things and responsible for our actions.
Therefore, zoos do help the animals in many ways.
