I was really fat and I tried a lot of ways to lose weight. Yet sometimes it seemed that the ways just didn’t work at all. I can still remember once I tried a medicine called ‘Curvy Beauty’. I knew it from advertisements. Actually the company made all kinds of adverts including TV commercials, posters, billboards, magazine and newspaper ads. And the medicine claimed that you would lose 10kg in just one month, and with no side-effects. You know, when you hear an ad once, it doesn’t matter, I mean it may have little or no influence on you. However, if you hear it every day for several months, then, it is very likely that you’d be persuaded as a result of suggestion, especially when it seems that the thing may meet one of your needs. That was my case actually. When I was looking for something that could help burn my fat, curvy beauty occurred. And after being bombed by its adverts, I felt I had to try it. And I bought 4 boxes of those pink tablets, which was enough for a month. And since according to the ads, you didn’t need to do any physical exercises, I just stopped all the sports.
For the first week, I put on 1.5 kilo, and I thought it was OK, cus I read in the instruction that you might put on some weight during the first few days after taking the medicine for the first time. But then in the second week I put on another 1.5 kilo. What’s worse, in the third week, I not only became even fatter, but also began to suffer from irregular heartbeat and sweating. I had to go to the hospital and the doctor told me that it was because of a chemical substance in the slimming aids, which had only limited effect in weight control and might cause heart disease. Then I thought I was just stupid. I should have kept doing sports rather than taking those toxic tablets. If I had exercised every day during the three months, perhaps I would have lost 3 kilos instead of putting on the weight. I was just regretful for that!
