It is more important for students to understand ideas and concepts than to learn facts.
Considering whether knowing ideas and concepts is more important than learning facts, supporters of that view claim that those concepts could offers a more useflu information than facts could, because they were concluded by some experts from the facts. But ,I —as one of a opponents—hold the view that facts are the root of all ideas and concepts.

High school graduates should take a year off before entering a university.
Considering whether the gap year is neccessary for high school graduates, many supporters claim that this one year off can give the oppotunity for students to do what they expected, and release the acdamic pressure.However, after the vacation, amount of students may have a problem on
adapting to the campus life.
It is ture during the gap year graduates are able to encouter vairous people with different social backgrounds and levels of education. Thus, these students through communicating with wider range of people in the society have a broader view of life, which means they could be more advantageous over their peers in the ability to apply practical skills.
For example, students who did part-time jobs are definitely better at socializing with new classmates / adapting to a new environment, colleage life, when they are exposed to the new environment, the university, compared with someone who did not. However, it is much more risky because many of them are reluctant to come back campus life due to various attractions in the society. Meanwhile, away from the school one year is actually too long to students catch up with their peers.

The most important factor in succeeding in life is to get a higher education.
Indeed—the acquisition of knoweldge mainly derives from tradtional education, schools, despite various infromation on the internet.

However, Modern people ——-adaptability not academic records
well socializing skills / interpersonal skills——- {EXP} what is the adaptability???{consequences of more weak-ties }——拉回主題:succeeding in life—- Modern people——work / study ——settle down one place pernemantly——challenge is overcomging the sense of estrangement ; Compared with better interaction, people who merely have higher academic achievement but lack pracitcal skills hardly adapt to a new environment.
