首先，本題屬于獨立題中的物品描述題，考生需要注意使用具體例子或細節(jié)對整體概念進行描述。通過審題發(fā)現(xiàn)，題干關(guān)鍵詞為interesting style，所以建議做具體闡述的時候強化有趣的特點。本題難點在于，很多考生可能會對服裝類詞匯不熟悉，甚至用中文都無法敘述我國的有趣服飾，所以建議，將服裝與功能、文化結(jié)合起來，用我們已經(jīng)很熟悉的套路解決不熟悉的話題。

例文 –旗袍
　　I would like to talk about Chipao, an interesting style of clothes in China. To begin with, Chipaohas a long history and reflects Chinese culture. It is originated from the traditional clothes of Manchu people, who governed the country in Qing Dynasty. It is always made of expensive silk and has many traditional Chinese patterns on it such as bamboo leaves and lotus flowers.

What’s more, during 20th century, talented Chinese tailors combined some western elements with Chipao and made it more wearable in daily life. Since then Chipao has become one of the most popular traditional clothes in China. Nowadays, young women would still choose to wear bright red Chipao in their wedding and other celebrations. And movies in which actresses wear different kinds of Chipaos are sold to everywhere in the world.

題干： If a high school is planning to organize an after-school activity for its students, what kind of activity would you recommend and why?

本題屬于獨立題中的較難題型，事件題。但從題干內(nèi)容來看，大多數(shù)考生在備考時都已經(jīng)準備過volunteer activity/sports/environment activity等分類話題，本題可以包容這些考生已經(jīng)熟悉的內(nèi)容，故難度并不是很大，這里就不展示范文了，可以給考生提供兩個思路。

思路1 – organize a basketball/football/tennis match
　　1. Many school work to do during day time/get relaxed
　　2. Know the importance of teamwork
　　3. The opportunity to exercise/ improve strength and flexibility

思路2 – offer tutoring programs to students
　　1. Some students have difficulties in study (e.g. math, physics)
　　2. Students from higher grades can tutor those students and earn money
　　3. Give valuable experience to students who want to be teachers

題干： Describe one type of community work you want to take part in.

獨立題里的較難題型，事件題。在這類事件題里，學(xué)生非常容易陷入中文思維，會耗費時間想“我們的社區(qū)叫什么名字”“關(guān)愛孤寡老人、學(xué)雷鋒用英語怎么說”，所以我們在準備的時候，要盡可能避免中文思路，嘗試用最簡潔、最接地氣的動賓結(jié)構(gòu)表達我們想做的事情。
　　請記住，我們的評分官是美國人，他們沒有義務(wù)了解中國的社區(qū)活動背景，所以用一種外國人能夠聽懂的，強化我們具體所做事情、弱化學(xué)校要求的方式展開答題，對考生非常重要。

思路1 – take care of the elder citizens in the community
　　1. Many old people are not in good health/ clean house and do some cooking
　　2. They live apart from their kids so they may be lonely/talk to them
　　3. Share their knowledge and life experience with us

思路2 – plant trees and collect garbage around neighborhood
　　1. The community suffers serious pollution/ improve the environment
　　2. Get exercised when planting trees/ good for my health
　　3. Acquire knowledge of protecting the earth and share it with other people.

題干：
　　A Talk about how cellphone has changed people’s lives. Explain your answer in details.
　　B Talk about the ways Internet has benefited people’s lives. Explain your answer in details.

兩套第一題難度都不大，因為電子產(chǎn)品、通訊工具和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)和大多數(shù)考生日常生活息息相關(guān)，感受深刻，例子一抓一大把。我相信考生們在課堂上也一定做了足夠多的訓(xùn)練。甚至，有一些理由可以在這兩道題中通用，比如:

- The cellphone/Internet has allowed us to communicate with people far from us, even in different countries.
　　- With the help of cellphone/Internet, we can know the latest news, so we would know better about what is going on in the society.
　　- Whenever I have problems, especially when I get lost, I don’t need to ask other people for help. The cellphone/Internet can tell me where to go and I can easily find my destination.                                                                                                  I9kk

但是，請注意，兩道題之間有一個很大的區(qū)別。B的題目更傾向于我們平時的訓(xùn)練，因為題干當中出現(xiàn)了一個很明顯帶有正評價的詞“benefit”，我們只需要說網(wǎng)絡(luò)的優(yōu)點即可，非常類似考生們習(xí)慣的Task 2。但是，A套題中，題干使用的動詞時“change”，這是一個中性詞。也就是說，在回答A套題時，我們可以詳細解釋手機的兩到三個優(yōu)點，也可以優(yōu)缺點間雜著說，甚至選擇全部說缺點都是可以的，故考生在答題時，發(fā)揮的余地會比B套題更大。

題干：Talk about an important decision that you have made. Explain why this decision is important to you.

描述一個你做過的非常重要的決定，難中之難事件題！但是考點不算偏，和日常生活也足夠緊密，所以考生們無需太過緊張。雖然事件題屬于獨立題里最具有個人特征的提醒，比較難找出一個統(tǒng)一的答案，但是鑒于考生多數(shù)為在校學(xué)生，我們可以總結(jié)出三個主要的場景：選擇專業(yè)、出國留學(xué)、選擇工作。

例文：
　　I made an important decision last year when I was about to graduate from high school. Students often face some difficulties when they are required to choose major. For me, it was even harder.
　　My parents are both successful businessmen and they have always wanted me to take over the family owned business. So they asked me to study finance, accounting and related business majors. But for me, I like Chinese novels very much and I think numbers and business are boring, so I would like to choose to study Chinese literature.
　　My father was certainly not happy about that and we had some arguments that time. Finally, I surrendered to my father and chose business management major. Now it turns out it’s a good decision because I can use the knowledge to help my parents and I can still enjoy reading during my spare time.       

題干：
　　Describe a person you want to learn more about. Explain why you want to know more about this person.

簡單題，入門題，大家都會說的人物題，但是要注意和以往常見題目的區(qū)別。人物題最常見的幾種形式: Describe the person you admire the most. / Describe the most influential person in your community. / Describe the person you always talk to. 以及其他。無論哪一種，都是基于考生對那個人的了解展開論述。而這題，考察的恰恰是我們“不了解”、“想要了解”的部分。所以千萬不要陷入慣性思維一味地述說人物的特點，而是在講述你了解的特點之余，穿插一部分你尚不知道但是有興趣的信息。

例文：
　　The person I want to lean more about is Steve Jobs, the former CEO of the Apple company, which produces Iphone and Ipad. I have two reasons. First, everybody knows that before Steve worked for Apple, the company suffered loss and none of its products was successful. It was only after Steve became the CEO that Apple started to boom and kick other competitors out.

So I am really interested in this process, how his team invented Iphone and made it successful. Second, Steve Jobs gives perfect speeches. His words “stay hungry, stay foolish” became the motto of thousands of teenagers. So I want to know what kind of experience he had when he was young. Maybe this will help me understand life better.
