Task 4

Reading: Compromise effect- people prefer products with a lower price.

Lecture: The professor uses one example to explain. A type of coffeemaker doesn’t sell well because people prefer coffeemakers with lower price. So, the company added fancy coffeemakers, and then the demand of the coffeemaker which didn’t sell well went up.

Task 5

Problem: the woman hurt her back, but she still needs to carry a lot of books to the classroom.

Solution 1: She can leave books in the classroom, but she still needs to walk for 20 minutes

Solution 2: she can use other students’ books, but she prefers to take notes while reading.

Task 6

The professor talks about the transplantation of plants.

The first way is to stick to fur of animals.

The second way is to float on water.
