Listening: Professor stated he taught his 3 years old daughter how to wash hands. The action break down into 5 steps. a. turn on the water b. wet the hands c. put some soap d. wash hands e. turn off water. The professor taught his daughter step by step until she knew every steps. After linking all the actions, his daughter knew how to wash hands finally.
S5 Problem: The man is going to attend a job interview, but he forgot his suit at his parents' home. Solutions: 1. Borrow a suit from his roommate, but the roommate's suit too large. If he go for audition dressing the large suit, may give the employer a bad impression; 2. Buy a new one, but the man said it was too expensive, because he wanted to save the money to buy a new bike.

Listening: 教授列舉了一種X動(dòng)物,應(yīng)該是海豹吧。這種動(dòng)物能根據(jù)判斷sound來(lái)知道別的動(dòng)物是否要捕獵他們。如果對(duì)方的聲音不complex,他們就知道對(duì)方?jīng)]有攻擊的意思,就繼續(xù)自己的eating,它們才不浪費(fèi)自己的energy呢;如果對(duì)方的聲音complex,它們就知道對(duì)方要捕食它們了,這時(shí)就要escape了。
S5 Problem: woman's problem:she forgot her text book in her parent's home.
Solutions: 女生說(shuō)可以borrow她室友Emily的text book,但她室友也選了這門(mén)課,所以她只有今天晚上能借來(lái)看,她勢(shì)必要熬夜,但是她昨晚又沒(méi)睡好,今晚要早點(diǎn)休息明天考試;男的說(shuō)也是,那就說(shuō)不如你明早趕緊開(kāi)車回去拿,拿自己說(shuō)比較好,就算你遲到教授也能理解。

S3 Reading: student think that university should create a program lead students to visit mentors in office place because 1.they can discuss about academic activities in school; 2. the students will learn more about the future career from the mentors.
Listening: the woman disagrees with the statement because she though students are so bust that they don't have time to visit office places off campus. Also there is Student Centre on campus to help them answer these questions and it open all day, which is convenient to students. However, most students don't know about it because it hasn't been advertised in appropriate way. Second, it's enough to get advice from our parents, academic advisor and professor. Getting advice form more than one people would be overwarm and may make students confused.
S6 Lecture:The professor discusses about the solution for the salt soils. The salt soils is accumulated during the irrigation. 1. Use pipe to lead exceed water return to it during the irrigation, accompany with bring back the extra salt. 2. Plant some crops which can grow on the salt soils.

Listening: 教授舉了一個(gè)例子來(lái)說(shuō)明。講一種mice和它的predator(可能是某種wolf)之間互相影響。分三個(gè)階段:(1)prey (mice)多,predator食物充足,population 增加;(2)prey少了,predator食物減少了,population 減少;(3)predator少了,prey又開(kāi)始多起來(lái)了,如此循環(huán),population 平衡。教授說(shuō)實(shí)際上第三階段就是第一階段,因?yàn)槭莄yclic,不斷重復(fù)這三個(gè)階段。 問(wèn)題:結(jié)合對(duì)話和閱讀材料說(shuō)說(shuō)population cycle change的定義和例子。
S5 Problem: 男生急著要完成藝術(shù) paper,但必需要去museum才能完成,而museum 明天就要關(guān)門(mén)了,只能今晚去,可是這個(gè)男生今晚又有課要上。
Solutions: 女生給了兩個(gè)建議:(1)向負(fù)責(zé) paper 的教授請(qǐng)求延遲交,男生說(shuō)這樣教授會(huì)生氣的;(2)向今晚上課的老師請(qǐng)假,然后去museum,缺的內(nèi)容可以回來(lái)再抄筆記,(男生從不缺課,上課的老師會(huì)體諒他)。
S6 Lecture: 心理學(xué)中的reinforcement,分為positive reinforcement和negative reinforcement兩種,即增加能夠激發(fā)個(gè)人興趣的東西和消除自己不喜歡的東西。教授具體舉了兩個(gè)能實(shí)現(xiàn)早起上班的例子。(1)positive(add the pleasure):早起獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)自己好的food,這樣就可以讓你喜歡早起這種behaviour;(2)negative(remove the unpleasant behaviour),不喜歡早上shower,那么可以改在晚上,這樣人也就不會(huì)那么討厭早起了。

S3 Reading: Students in the university orchestra will perform in local school. They will have more chances to perform and inspire the kids to learn musical instruments. 學(xué)校要把concert舉辦到校外去,一來(lái)給學(xué)生多一些機(jī)會(huì)鍛煉,二來(lái)可以提高學(xué)校的reputation,引起schoolchild學(xué)音樂(lè)的興趣。
Listening: The man likes this idea. He gives two reasons. The first one is that students in the university orchestra only can perform once at the end of the semester. They practice and rehearse a lot. So it is a shame to perform once and the policy will give them more chances to perform. Secondly, they perform the concerts in local schools which will inspire the kids to learn musical instruments. It gets harder to learn when older. The man did not learn violin very young. He had spent quite some time to catch up with others. He thought if he started learning violin at a younger age, it would be easier for him. 男的支持,因?yàn)橐粊?lái)現(xiàn)在每年只有一次的concert,二來(lái)可以幫助孩子提高音樂(lè)興趣。
S5 Problem: man的roommate要搬到in campus,所以他要找一個(gè)新室友。
Solutions: 一個(gè)是前室友的朋友,人不錯(cuò)但是有些messy。第二個(gè)是學(xué)校里貼advertisement。問(wèn)你支持哪個(gè),為啥。
S6 Lecture: 廣告讓受眾接受產(chǎn)品的兩個(gè)方法,一個(gè)是在合適的時(shí)間讓受眾看到,舉的例子是玩具車的廣告要在孩子們喜歡的電視節(jié)目的時(shí)間段播出,第二個(gè)好像是要和實(shí)際的產(chǎn)品結(jié)合,舉得例子似乎是他女兒和朋友們有個(gè)小玩具,然后最近要有關(guān)于這個(gè)玩具的節(jié)目上映了。
