The university has decided to offer reference material online because paper, newspaper and journal take up too much space.The man agrees with the decision.First, he thinks the library has no space to keep the books and the school has to expand library by building a new building. But online materials could help solve the problem, which is more economical.Second, students have computer in their dorms and it’s convenient to search the material online.

Vertical migration

Marine stocks migrate up and down in the sea for plentiful food or avoiding predators.The professor gives an example of squid. In daytime, squid are likely to be exposed to predators due to sunlight, so they will hide at the bottom of the ocean because darkness will protect them. But during the night, squid migrate to the surface of the water to search for food and stay until the next morning.

The woman’s problem is that she sprained her ankle and she couldn’t drive to downtown to do student teaching. There are two solutions. First, she could take a taxi, but it's too expensive. Second, she could get a ride from her friend, but she didn’t want to be a burden of her friend. Her friend said he could study in the coffeehouse to wait her, no big deal.

The professor talks about two reasons of the increase of the newspaper issue in 19th century.One is because the advance technique.For example, machines were put into use so they could produce more newspaper for people.Second is because they find more source of funding.For example, there existed commercial section on the newspaper so the price of newspaper became low and affordable.
