Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? As modern life becomes more complex, it is essential for young people to have the ability to plan and organize.

新通外語此前發(fā)布的托福獨(dú)立寫作預(yù)測題中,命中原題!對于聽力、閱讀偏難的這場考試,獨(dú)立寫作機(jī)經(jīng)命中無疑給了考生們一線希望。此題屬于年輕人能力話題中的經(jīng)典,重復(fù)2007.7.21與2009.12.5年考題。
題目解析:
如今生活變的越來越復(fù)雜,對于年輕人來說具備計(jì)劃和組織能力是必要的。此題為開放性的話題,從同意角度思考較容易。考生可以將話題進(jìn)行拆分,分別論證計(jì)劃能力與組織能力必要性。也可將兩個(gè)能力看作整體進(jìn)行論述,論證可以從合作團(tuán)結(jié)、資源利用合理性、工作學(xué)習(xí)效率等多個(gè)角度展開。
考生如果從正面思路受限,也可靈活應(yīng)用反面思考法,思考如果沒有組織和計(jì)劃能力可能造成的負(fù)面影響,比如從小依賴,不具備獨(dú)立思考、計(jì)劃能力,今后面對諸多困難都會(huì)失敗,例子不難列舉,無論今后職場發(fā)展、留學(xué)計(jì)劃、專業(yè)挑選甚至托福備考都可以應(yīng)用。

Living without an aim is like sailing on the ocean without a compass. A good plan gives clear directions (明確的目標(biāo))when one is faced with complicated uncertainties(復(fù)雜的迷茫). Today’s world makes every social member a sailor, who is riding waves(乘風(fēng)破浪) under the complex weather conditions at sea. Eventually, the ability to plan and organize is not merely a prerequisite for being a leader(成為領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者的必備條件), but should be mastered but all other modern citizens as well. Therefore, as fresh troops(生力軍) constructing the future society, young people ought to have planning and organizing skills.

Above all, the ability to plan and organize prepares the youth for future academic and career challenges. With a clear goal in mind, they will have the impetus(動(dòng)力) to strive for it and are less likely to get lost on the way. Planning ahead of time(預(yù)先的計(jì)劃) makes each endeavor meaningful. Besides, unwanted situations(意外) might be prevented in advance(提前). In most cases, the ability to plan also keeps young people away from worry or fear of the future that so fill of obstacles and mysteries(充滿困難和迷惑). For instance, if a high school student is about to leave school soon, it is necessary for him to have a most suitable plan before the graduation ceremony (畢業(yè)典禮)begins. As long as he learns about his interests and sets a goal, a plan takes form. The ability to do so requires not only advice from parents, but also proper instructions (合理指導(dǎo))from teachers. For example, suppose a person has an ambition to become a lawyer. He may plan to select law as his major at college or decide to read related books(相關(guān)書籍), or take a part-time job at a lawyer’s office(律師事務(wù)所). More details are added until a well- organized plan is formed. From then on, he is able to live with a meaningful aim.

In addition, early planning and organizing experience helps young people to become mature. For example, if they used to spend almost all their leisure time playing computer games or watching TV and they are given an opportunity to make a new plan on after-class activities(課外活動(dòng)), they might gradually realize that the obsession with(迷戀) computer games was harmful to them. Activities like helping parents with housework, doing sports, and reading interesting books may increase. This marks a big step forward(標(biāo)志顯著進(jìn)步). In a word, to become a good sailor in the information age, every youngster ought to be well equipped with(具備) a number of essential skills, including the ability to plan and organize.
