解析：此題錯在as effective as，考察副詞的使用。這里的 as effective as 修飾的是have described這個謂語動詞，所以effective 應(yīng)該用副詞effectively. 副詞的功能需要大家具體掌握，常用四種功能，修飾動詞，如此題。修飾形容詞，如程度副詞。修飾副詞，如程度副詞。同時也可以修飾一個句子。

2. The survey indicated that workers in the United States hope that his or her wages will keep pace with the rising cost of living.

解析：此題錯在his or her. 考察人稱一致的問題。這個所有格的主語是workers in the United states，所以應(yīng)該改為their. 所以從此題不難看出，很多SAT語法真題語法點并不難，是大家都能掌握并且熟知的簡單語法，但是大家需要更加細(xì)致的對比前后的邏輯關(guān)系。句間和句內(nèi)關(guān)系是SAT語法尤為看重的。

解析：此題錯在with. 考察平行結(jié)構(gòu)。 此題both a response to 后面有兩個賓語，一個是her critics’ mistrust，一個是an elaboration. 在這兩個賓語后面都有個所屬格，因此with 應(yīng)該為of，和后面的an elaboration of 結(jié)構(gòu)平行。

同樣，對句子的平行結(jié)構(gòu)，是SAT語法的考試重點，需要學(xué)生們對此非常熟悉。

解析：此題錯在lost，考察現(xiàn)在完成時。題中時間狀語出現(xiàn)since 1920, 只要有since表示自從，主句都是要用現(xiàn)在完成時，所以改為has lost。 還有一些現(xiàn)在完成時的標(biāo)志，需要大家熟記。
