獨立寫作：Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: The most important investment for a big company is to improve the efficiency and proficiency of its employees.

范文：

The competition amongst different corporations have become increasingly fierce， therefore， it is not rare to see that some large-scaled companies typically have established standards for management and thus have recognized employee-training programs and standardized dispute resolution strategies. As a result， people have been pondering for many years whether or not the most worthwhile investment is the cultivation of employees' abilities without reaching any definite consensus. For my part， I strongly insist that with a view to generating more economic value， the companies should sponsor the training for their employees to promote the staff's efficiency and proficiency.

For a start， the reason why I take utilizing the financial budget to prefect the techniques of the employees as the most advantageous alternative is that the motivation of the employees will be highly inspired， in this sense， they can fulfill their tasks efficiently. To illustrate， as an English teacher， I am provided the chance of polishing up my teaching skills in Beijing New Oriental Company every year， I have more working zeal after receiving professional training because the sense of being valued and respected by the corporation I am serving really rewards me. So， my personal experience leads me to believe that highly qualified and frequent trainings enable the workers to devote to the companies more actively， it is conceivable that profits the corporations could make will be greatly increased if their employees have access to regular on-job training opportunities.

In addition， this debate reminds me of my uncle， Paul， who just has a similar experience. He has been carving out his own career after graduating from college. In the past， when the new employees were hired， they needed a long period of time to adapt to the working condition and familiarize themselves with the procedures by observing other experienced employees' performance. Then，my uncle begun to provide professional course to make them qualified adequately. Hence， new employees are less likely to commit blunders and more likely to excel in the work obligation quickly. The experience from life tells us a truth that optimizing the skills of the workers can， to large extent，help the companies to compete for the lion's share in the market.

However， I have to concede that there are a great many things a company can do to prosper and stabilize their businesses. More precisely， companies can allocate the financial budget to advertisement of the relevant products or betterment of the equipment. Notwithstanding all that， it is the individual who has the most integral role to play in the companies， the benefits other activities can bring about are obviously dwarfed.

Overall， I would like to re-affirm my conviction that the most essential investment is the betterment of the employees' skills because workers' motivation can be highly stimulated provided that they are proficient at the tasks in which they are doing. In light of this statement，only when the business owners make efforts to perfect the efficiency and proficiency of their employees can the companies maximize their economic profits.
