首先,narrator有預(yù)報(bào),在我們聽每篇聽力時(shí),第一句話就是“l(fā)isten to part of a lecture in a marine biology class”, 這里我們可以得到的信息是接下來將會(huì)聽到一篇有關(guān)marine biology(海洋生物學(xué))的講座,但是這里我們不確定是動(dòng)物還是植物,接下來,開始professor的聽力正文! Ok, today we are going to continue our discussion of plant life in coastal salt marshes area of North America.” 這句話中plant life告訴我們這是一篇有關(guān)植物學(xué)的講座。同學(xué)們就要根據(jù)之前講過的文章套路進(jìn)行預(yù)判。
首先,narrator有預(yù)報(bào),在我們聽每篇聽力時(shí),第一句話就是“listen to part of a lecture in a marine biology class”, 這里我們可以得到的信息是接下來將會(huì)聽到一篇有關(guān)marine biology(海洋生物學(xué))的講座,但是這里我們不確定是動(dòng)物還是植物,接下來,開始professor的聽力正文。” Ok, today we are going to continue our discussion of plant life in coastal salt marshes area of North America.” 這句話中plant life告訴我們這是一篇有關(guān)植物學(xué)的講座。同學(xué)們就要根據(jù)之前講過的文章套路進(jìn)行預(yù)判。
接著“Salt marshes are among the least inviting environments for plants. The water is salty, there is little shade and the ocean tide comes in and out, constantly flooding the marsh, so the variety of plants found in salt marshes is limited, but there is a plant genus that thrives there, the Spartina.”這里介紹的是鹽灘是怎樣的一種環(huán)境(water is salty, there is little shade and the ocean tide comes in and out, constantly flooding the marsh)并且提到這里的植物物種是有限的(the variety of plants found in salt marshes is limited),這部分對(duì)應(yīng)植物學(xué)套路中的“植物的生長環(huán)境”,并且在后面引入了本講座的主角“the Spartina”。
接著往下聽,“So how is the Spartina able to survive in an environment that would kill most plants? well, it is because salt marsh grasses have found ways to adapt to the conditions there. ”教授提出設(shè)問,Spartina是如何在這種惡劣環(huán)境下生存的?這是因?yàn)檎訚深愔参镉幸恍┻m應(yīng)這種環(huán)境的方式。這里同學(xué)們就應(yīng)該被打雞血了,因?yàn)檫@里體現(xiàn)了兩大內(nèi)容,一是出題點(diǎn),因?yàn)檫@句話有“found ways to adapt” 同學(xué)們?cè)诼犕懈B犃Φ臅r(shí)候要有所預(yù)判,也就是在基于理解的基礎(chǔ)上可以邏輯才向下接下來的內(nèi)容,在聽到“found ways to adapt”意味著接下來會(huì)講述這幾種ways——列舉類出題點(diǎn);二是adapt體現(xiàn)了接下來會(huì)將植物的適應(yīng)性;貞浺幌,植物的適應(yīng)性包含兩種情況,一是對(duì)自然環(huán)境的適應(yīng)性,二是對(duì)周圍生物(食物鏈)的適應(yīng)性,這里我們還不能確定是對(duì)自然環(huán)境還是食物鏈,但可以預(yù)判的是接下來一定會(huì)講適應(yīng)性。
“First of all, they are able to withstand highly saline conditions. One really interesting adaptation is the ability to reverse the process of osmosis.”首先,他們可以抵抗這種高鹽度環(huán)境。這是對(duì)環(huán)境的適應(yīng)性,在本意群中介紹了植物對(duì)高鹽環(huán)境的適應(yīng)和一些細(xì)節(jié)(植物的特點(diǎn))這里注意一下,本文是在介紹植物適應(yīng)性的同時(shí)介紹植物特點(diǎn)(But what about the Spartinas, well, they allow a certain amount of salt to enter their cells, bringing the salt content of the water within the plant, to a slightly higher concentration than that of the surrounding seawater.
