1. Do you like to take photographs? (Why?)
　　Yes, I really do enjoy taking photos, especially on special or important occasions, for example, when I am traveling to different places or celebrating a birthday with my friends. I find it very fun and relaxing. What’s more, taking photos can be a very meaningful thing to do, as they can refresh your memories about those happy times you had in the past.

2. How did you become interested in photography?
　　Well, I guess it all started two years ago. At that time I had a roommate named Nittie who is crazy about taking photos as a hobby. I remember that she would take a camera with her wherever she went and never stop trying to capture a perfect picture of the day: people, food, flowers, dogs, anything. She would teach me some skills and share her best photos with us. I guess I was influenced by her “passion” and “dedication”. Later, I also got myself a digital camera and went along with her to capture the perfect moment of life. It was really fun.

3. What do you do with the photos you have taken?
　　Well, it really depends, you know, on whether I have the time or the mood to deal with them, but usually, I will first go through one by one, to delete the bad ones and save the best shots. Then I will upload them on my computer or my phone to wechat or weibo to share my days with my friends. Occasionally on a happy day, I will even print them out and make a nice photo wall in my room.

1. When do you use a computer？
　　I guess I would have to say that I need to use it all the time that I can’t live without it. It’s multi-functional for me, you know, for study, for work, for entertainment, for social life…currently as a student, most of the time I use it to do research, write essays and prepare my PowerPoint presentations.

2. Do you think computers have changed our lives for the better?
　　Um… This is really a big question, but I suppose to a great extent, computers have made our life much easier. Firstly, it has improved the efficiency. More things get done and often we can complete projects and assignments very quickly, so that we have more time for other activities. In addition, we are also able that we wouldn’t have been able to do before, like working at home.

3. Do you think there are any disadvantages of using computers?
　　Yes, absolutely. Without doubt, there are quite a few disadvantages. The first thing I should mention is that many people rely too much on them that they seem to forget that there are people around them. They often turn to computers for entertainment rather than spending time with other friends or getting exercise. Another thing is that people’s handwriting tends to become worse when they always use the keyboard for typing. In a similar way, it is really harmful for your eyes and body health with all the radiation.

I got my first mobile phone about 3 years ago from my dad as a reward for my hard work and good grades at school. It was an iphone and I just loved it so much that I could hardly put it down, especially for the first month.

I remember I used to stare at my iphone and couldn’t get my eyes off it because of its adorable and desirable look. Different from other brands of mobile phones, it had a thinner and lighter design and since the first generation in iphone family, apple had adopted touch control. Only one button makes it simple yet beautiful.

Not only it looked nice, it was only multi-functional and user-friendly. It was more than a phone to me, you know, just making phone calls or sending messages, but while on the go, my phone became my portable music and movie player. I could also play games that were available in the app store to kill time during a long bus ride.

When I got bored, using social networking service like wechat, weibo, the Chinese twitter, is always tons of fun. I could share real time information with my friends. I am never tired of posting and reposting.

So my first mobile phone was like my best friend and playmate who accompanied me for two years. I am still very thankful for my dad who bought me such a precious gift.

1. Are mobile phones very common in your country？
　　I guess I would have to give you a definite “yes”. A mobile phone is not something luxurious anymore like it was 50 years ago. Now it becomes more like a necessity for everyone’s daily life in this information age. With the important basic functions and advanced applications, mobile phones become very handy. We use it for almost everything, work, study, play, and social networking. Another reason is that as our purchasing power increases, almost everyone can afford it. So now you can see people, no matter young or old, rich or poor, all holding a mobile phone.

2. Do you think there are any downsides of using a cell-phone?
　　Yes, absolutely. Without doubt, there are quite a few disadvantages. The first thing I should mention is that many people rely too much on them that they seem to forget that there are people around them. They often turn to mobile phones for entertainment rather than spending time with other friends or getting exercise. Another thing is that people’s handwriting tends to become worse when they always use the software for writing. In a similar way, it is really harmful for your eyes and body health with all the radiation you get from it especially when it’s around you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
